Random Person Asks, "Do You Have Dogs?"

This week's journal entry prompt asked me to ask the nearest person near me what to do with a blank page in my journal. The nearest person near me was a random stranger, and I asked what I should do with the blank page. To my excitement, they said, "Do you have dogs?" I said, "Yes, of course!" Then, they told me to write about my dogs.
I would like to point out that I think it is amazing that when I ask a random person, a random question, the first thing that they think of is dogs. Dogs truly are a man's best friend; that is not just some overly repeated saying. There is truth in it. The loyalty and companionship between a dog and an owner is incredible. I have not met a single person that is more loyal than my dogs. I love dogs, so I was very excited to write about them.
Here's what I wrote:
I have three dogs, I have two Pit bulls (Lola and Nova), and I have one Jack Russell (Mocha). Believe it or not my Pit bulls are the friendliest dogs that I have ever encountered. Pit bulls are not vicious like they are made out to be. My Pit bulls are very gentle and playful. My Jack Russell is the same. I love them all. I especially love that they all have different personalities.
Lola: The Protector and Queen

Lola definitely takes dominance over the other dogs. She acts like she is the queen of the house, and Nova and Mocha have accepted it. She is the protector of the house. Anytime that someone steps in any close proximity of our house, she knows. She lets us know that someone's there by barking and drawing attention to them. It can be annoying, but my house wouldn't feel quite as safe without her, so we all love and appreciate her protective instincts. Even though she seems like this big, bad protecting dog, she is the most loveable dog. The most harm she could do is lick someone to death. She loves attention, and if you aren't paying attention to her, she will get in your face and lick you until you show her some love and attention. She thinks she is the queen.
Nova: The Baby and Cuddlier

Nova is the youngest dog in our house, and she definitely acts like it. She is also very loveable. She does the complete opposite of protecting the house though. If someone was to walk up to her and pull something as small and simple as a pencil out from behind their back, she would take off running and scared, as if they just whipped out a huge grizzly bear in her face. Then, she'll go find someone to hide behind and cry to them as if she is telling on the person for picking on her. It's comical though; she's great. She's also a baby because she hate being alone. If you take her outside to go to the bathroom, you have to stand outside with her, or she will get scared and run right back into the house. If the family ever leaves the house, we have to make sure that one of the other dogs is left in the same room as her, or she'll get anxiety from being alone and chew everything, like a child. She is so sweet though. My family thinks that we have taught her to say "I love you." It's a work in progress. She loves to cuddle. The downside to that is, she takes up the entire bed at night, but she's too cute to push off the bed.
Mocha: The Old and Wise

Mocha is the oldest dog in the house. Everyone always makes fun of her and calls her ugly, and I'm pretty sure she knows it because I can tell that it makes her sad, but if you just sing Cristina Aguilera's "You Are Beautiful," it will cheer her up. She is beautiful, no matter how old she gets. I say that she is wise because she walks away and leaves the room when there is commotion going on. If the other two dogs are acting up, she knows better and leaves the area or sits calmly in the corner, judging them. It reminds me of how a mature person in a room full of immature drama would leave the room, shaking their head because they are too wise to put up with it. Mocha has been around too long to deal with the younger dogs' drama. She is also loveable. She cuddles and licks just like the other two. (Personally, I think that she is the real Queen B of the house because she is the most wise.)
I didn't realize how much my dogs meant to me until I sat down and wrote about them. They are perfect. I thank the random person who suggested that I write about my dogs on my blank page. I enjoyed it. Thank you stranger, and thank you dogs.
