My Hoarding Problem

This weeks journal prompt was "What are you hoarding for yourself that could be shared with others?" Like most things, you don't really know when you have a certain problem like hoarding, but I can admit I am a bit of a hoarder.

I hoard my clothes. My closet in my college dorm and at my parents house are full. My college dresser and my dresser at my parents house are full. I have bins under my bed with clothes in them, and I have garbage bags upon garbage bags of clothes in my parents attic.

I hoard my jewelry. I have so much jewelry that I don't wear. I only wear jewelry on special occasions, but I still have all this jewelry laying around, causing clutter, and taking up space. Even if I wear a bracelet or a necklace and it breaks, I will keep it because I think, "Oh yeah, I'll fix this someday."

Recently I have found interest in taking old clothes and revamping them into something trendy. I'd even go to thrift stores and buy piles of junk clothes just so that I could try to make them look cute by bleach staining them or cutting them. This hobby has feed my hoarding of clothing and jewelry

because now I refuse to throw away my items more than ever because I think I can revamp it to look cute.

I cannot say that I will stop hoarding my jewlery and clothing quite yet. Someday, I will be able to let it go. I will share it with others by having a yard sell or taking it to a thrift shop as a donation. Maybe even, another clothing hoarder will pick it up and revamp it.
